Any visitor without a valid Department of Defense or other valid ID wishing to visit the installation must first stop at the All-American Visitor Control Center to obtain a pass. To be clear:

• Fort Liberty is a restricted access base. All persons 16 years and older entering the base are required to show a picture identification.
• Fort Liberty regulations prohibit the use of cell phones while operating a motor vehicle, except with the use of a hands-free device.

• Wearing portable headphones, earphones, or other listening devices while operating a motor vehicle is prohibited.
• The use of radar or laser detection devices to indicate the presence of speed recording instruments or to transmit simulated erroneous speeds is prohibited.

Defense Service Network (DSN) Dialing Instructions

The DSN is the provider of long-distance communications service for the Department of Defense (DoD). Every installation has a special DSN number and the numbers vary by world-wide location. In order to place a call using DSN, the caller must be using a military phone on an installation. Cell phones cannot dial DSN numbers. When dialing a DSN number from a United States installation to another United States installation, it is not necessary to dial the DSN 312 area code. When dialing a DSN number to/from overseas locations, the DSN area code must be included.

Fayetteville Regional Airport

Fayetteville Regional Airport is the Sandhills' leader in airline service, general aviation, and rental car services. The airport offers frequent daily service to three airline hub airports, each with hundreds of destinations around the world: Delta with service to Hartsfield–Jackson Atlanta International Airport and American Airlines service to Charlotte Douglas International Airport. Upon your arrival at Fayetteville Regional Airport, you will need to arrange for transportation. Family members without sponsors (Soldier) may take advantage of the local Taxi Services which are safe, secure and on location until 11:30 pm daily. Soldiers PCSing to Fort Liberty can request transportation through the Fort Liberty Replacement Company but it may be more convenient to use local taxi service. If arriving by commercial airline, the Fayetteville Regional Airport is located approximately 12 miles from Fort Liberty. From the airport terminal to Hwy 301 it is about 1.5 miles. Turn right on Hwy 301 and follow the intersection of OWEN Dr. (to your left) and WILKES Street (to your right). Make a left turn onto Owen Dr. stay on Owen Dr. (it will become All American Freeway), follow the All-American Freeway until you arrive at Reilly Street. Exit, once you are on Reilly Street. If traveling by privately owned vehicle (POV) I-95 South you will take exit 56 toward Fayetteville, Fort Liberty, Pope AFB, US 301 South. You will make a right at the first light on to Grove Street / NC-24/ NC-210 at the end you will turn right onto Bragg BLVD /NC-24/ NC-210. Continue to follow Bragg BLVD to SANTA FE Drive. Turn left on SANTA FE Drive, at the next light you will merge onto the ALL AMERICAN FWY. This will bring you into Fort Liberty.

If you are traveling by POV, from I-95 North you will merge onto I-95 Business Route N /US-301 N toward Fayetteville/ Fort Liberty/ Pope AAF. Continue on US-301 for approximately 7.3 mile Turn left on to Owen Drive.  Owen Drive will turn into All American Freeway, which takes you to Fort Liberty. To enter, you will need to show your military ID. If you do not have your military ID, you will need the following: driver’s license; vehicle registration; proof of insurance.  Your vehicle will be searched. Once you pass through the Access Control Point you will take the second exit which is Reilly Street. Get in the far left lane and turn left at the light onto Normandy Drive. You will see the Soldier Support Center on your left about of 1/8th of a mile down.

Newcomers to Fayetteville have a frequent complaint: Street names change often, and for no clear reason. And main routes to and from town can get congested at rush hour. The new Outer Loop is one effort to ease the problem as is the widening of Hope Mills and Cumberland roads. Installation of a new traffic signal system is also planned.

The Fayetteville Outer Loop is critical for the region. It will help support the military, promote continued economic growth, and strengthen North Carolina's ability to attract and retain business and industry.

Other benefits include:

• Reducing traffic volume on portions of the local street network
• Connecting major routes in the south, west and north portions of Fayetteville
• Providing an additional crossing of the Cape Fear River

The Fort Liberty Transportation Motor Pool Sustainable Post Shuttle is fully operational as of September 9, 2021.  The Shuttle Service is free to military, Department of Defense civilians, and contractors on official business.  Family members may ride on a space available basis.  It operates 7 days a week from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. on weekdays, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturdays, and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sundays.  In accordance with COVID-19 safety protocols, routes have been adjusted to provide time for shuttle disinfection between routes.  Be advised, riders are required to wear a mask on the shuttle.
